Larry Jakubowitz is a Certified Public Accountant, President and Managing Partner of John W. Brooker & Company, CPAs. He received a BS in Business Administration from Wayne State University with an emphasis in Accounting.  Later he received a Master of Science Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.  During his professional career, Larry has worked with local and regional C.P.A. firms.  Also, he is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

 

Since joining John W. Brooker & Company in 1989, Larry has been advising dental practitioners on various aspects of managing their practices.  In addition to tax planning, he advises them on personnel issues and controlling overhead costs.  Larry has worked with clients over the past 25 years on practice purchases, sales and transitions. 

 

Larry has spoken to various dental groups, including The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, UCSF Pediatric residents, UCSF Orthodontic residents, VA residents as well as local dental study groups.  He has also co-authored publications, i.e., Tax Planning Techniques and Opportunities for Dentists and Tax Ramification of Selling a Dental Practice.  Outside the office, Larry enjoys spending time with his family, following the local sports teams (and the Detroit teams when the locals are not competing), golf and enjoying California wines.
